Shannon and Mike have been together for fourteen years. “We had a lot of mutual friends but had never officially met. Shannon’s best friend thought we would hit it off and played matchmaker. Her instincts were right!.”
The couple got engaged on Thanksgiving in 2021. “It was something we had been talking about for a while, and the timing just felt right.”
90 guests were in attendance at their July 2022 outdoor nuptials at Zigbone Farm. “We knew we wanted a short and sweet ceremony. Mike walked down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme, which cracked everyone up once they realized what it was. Shannon’s best friend, who introduced us, officiated, and brought our relationship full circle.”
“We wanted a laid-back summer garden party. Zigbone is so beautiful and needed little in the way of decor. We chose bright, colorful flowers for our ceremony and reception that complimented the gardens. One of the things we liked about Zigbone was the ability to keep everything outdoors, rain or shine. We really wanted to make things as safe as possible. Unfortunately, we did have several family members come down with Covid the week of the wedding and had to cancel. We zoomed the ceremony so they could still join in the celebration.”
Shannon is a social work manager in Baltimore, and Mike is a satellite telecommunications engineer in Laurel. They currently reside in Catonsville, Maryland.
