Kaitlyn and Tra met in 2017 when they both worked as rehab aides at MMI. “We were friends for about a year before we went on our first date. We secretly dated for about two months before I resigned to finish out my schooling. We have been together for 4 years now.”
Tra popped the question in September of 2020. “With the help of my now mother-in-law, tricked Kay into thinking we were going to get family pictures. She always talked about wanting her family and best friend to be there- her best friend just so happened to be in town, and graciously offered to take the family pictures. It was the best surprise!”
125 guests, including a twelve-person wedding party, helped the couple celebrate their October wedding at Bluebird Manor. “We had a traditional ceremony with prayers and vows. Our favorite part was when Connor the singer and guitarist from our church, sang The Blessing. Our parents came to alter, laid hands upon our shoulders, and prayed for us and our marriage.”
The couple chose a rustic-chic theme for their wedding decor using a color palette of burgundy, navy, and greenery. We were very laid back with all aspects —we just wanted to have a big party with all the people that mean the most to us.”
Kaitlyn is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Meritus Medical Center, and Tra is a Firefighter and EMT in Frederick County. They currently reside in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
