Jenny and Brian first met in 2010 as eighth-graders but didn’t officially get together until 2019.
“We both had a crush on each other and expressed those feelings towards one another. Of course, being young and completely unaware of what love truly meant, our fling fizzled out within a few months. In December of 2018, we reconnected on a dating app and hit it off like we were back in middle school with late-night phone calls, giddy laughs, and butterflies in our stomachs.”
Brian proposed in May of 2021. “We spent time one evening making dinner on the grill and enjoyed the sunset from our porch. I had bought two wooden painting kits from the craft store a few weeks prior as something to do while we were on lockdown at home. We decided to paint them that evening and had music playing throughout the house. He told me how much he loved me and suddenly got up from the table and proposed right in our small apartment kitchen.”
Fifty-five guests, including an eight-person wedding party, helped the couple to celebrate their October wedding at Catoctin Hall. “It was the first and only place we toured because the views from the top of the hillside are absolutely breathtaking. It showcases the beauty of rural Maryland and the sunset shines perfectly over the mountains in the evening.”
“We are both very casual and laid-back so our wedding wasn’t super formal. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable and have a fun, stress-free evening with us. Our color palette was dark green and black with gold accents. We used a small amount of greenery and candles for our centerpieces. We just enjoyed the company of our friends and family, ate delicious food, and shared some drinks together. It was exactly how we wanted our wedding day to be”
Jenny is an ICU Registered Nurse and Brian works for FedEx Ground. They currently reside in Keedysville, Maryland. “
