Tyler and Lauren
Lauren and Tyler have a long history together. “We’ve known each other since elementary school and practically grew up in each other’s backyards. My mother was his science teacher. We ended up going to different schools after 5th grade but grew up with mutual friends. Our senior year of high school we ran into each other at a football game and decided to go to a Halloween party together. We spent every day of the next week together after that night and began dating. We’ve been together for roughly seven years since then!”
125 guests were in attendance for their outdoor fall wedding, including eight bridesmaids and seven groomsmen. The ceremony site was lined with fall-colored mums. The groom’s former youth minister acted as the officiant. Tyler and Lauren each wrote their own vows to read during the ceremony.
The couple chose to play up the fall season in their color choices for the reception- deep reds, oranges, and purples showed up in their decor, including in Lauren’s stunning bouquet.
When asked what her favorite part of the wedding was, Lauren said she couldn’t decide. “Our day was unique because it was on my birthday and a year to the day that Tyler proposed. My maid of honor included singing happy birthday in her speech. Most of the decorations were carefully thought out by my mother, the dessert bar was full of treats and we had a popcorn bar all night long. But our wedding day was fun because of the amazing family and friends that we have in our lives. It was the perfect celebration with everyone that we love.”
Tyler is a Project Manager and Lauren is a Middle School Science Teacher. They currently live in Frederick.
