Erin and Mikhail met in 2016 when a close friend of Erin’s married Mikhail’s brother. “They paired us up to walk down the aisle together as bridesmaid and groomsman. “
In 2018, Mikhail surprised Erin with a stay at the Watergate Hotel in DC. “I entered the hotel room to scattered rose petals and two bouquets of roses. He took me to Filomena Ristorante for a nice Italian dinner. Afterward, we decided to go out for a bit and hit the town. When we returned to our hotel room he got down on one knee and popped the question.”
125 guests including six bridesmaids, six groomsmen, and one flower girl helped the couple celebrate their wedding day last May at Manor Country Club. “We decided to use pedestals with large hydrangea bouquets and lots of greenery in lieu of an arch for our ceremony. Mikhail’s uncle was our officiant, and my stepmom and brother played the cello and violin. We decided to say traditional wedding vows, however, Mike and I said a meaningful statement to one another.”
The couple chose a color palette of pink, navy, and white with gold accents for their decor. “The feel we were going for was modern and romantic with lots of flowers and greenery. It was a formal event.”
Erin is a human resources generalist and Mikhail is a merchandising and sales specialist. They currently reside in Frederick.
