Britt and Will connected online right before Will left for Army Ranger School training. The two exchanged addresses and made a promise to keep in touch through handwritten letters. “Starting off our relationship with this challenge really set the tone for our commitment to making the best of any situation.”
Over the next two years, they became inseparable and William proposed in December 2017. In January of 2018, William was relocated to Italy while Britt stayed in the U.S. They spent 8 months apart before William came home in August of 2018 for their wedding.
125 guests were in attendance for their outdoor August nuptials, including a 12 person bridal party. Family and friends stood under an arch that Britt’s father and younger brother built together. A close family friend officiated the ceremony. “We laughed, we cried and we even took a selfie. Our ceremony was by far our favorite part of the day and we will never forget the feelings we felt standing under those trees.”
“Our catering was 100% vegan and you would never know. We had pizza and lasagna and cannolis and cupcakes. We loved how our Italian inspired menu turned out and were even more excited that it was totally cruelty-free.”
Brittany is a photographer and William is a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. They currently live overseas in Vicenza, Italy.
