Dan and Caroline have always paid attention to the little details, and their engagement was no different. “Dan’s proposal was heartfelt and elaborate and showed just how much our relationship means to him.”
Starting in February of 2016, Dan started making a series of “vlog” style videos of the emotions and steps of preparing to propose. In April, Caroline was lured into a theatre room on Mount St. Mary’s campus (where they met) where all of their friends and family were waiting to watch the video with her. Upon completion of the video, Dan came out and proposed to Caroline in front of the crowd, to which she, “without hesitation, said yes.” The couple picked a wedding date for almost exactly a year later.
When it came time for the wedding, they knew Mount St. Mary’s would be a part of their special day. Their wedding mass was held at Immaculate Conception chapel on the campus. The Chaplain of the University, and their dear friend Fr. Brian Nolan was the officiant, as well as Caroline’s chaplain at Towson, Fr. Matthew Beuning. The couple had 8 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen. They had 123 guests in attendance.
Caroline is a FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) Missionary at the Naval Academy, and Dan is a Defense Contractor with GS5 as well as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. They currently reside in Annapolis, Maryland.
