Brittany and Dallas met in 2016, at a friend’s birthday party in California. “We both had unique interpretations of the dress code and met by complementing each other’s outfits. We spent the rest of the night people-watching and coming up with elaborate fake backstories for the people walking by. It was easy to see that we could have a blast just sitting at a booth and being creative together.”
Dallas proposed in December of 2020 in Houston, Texas during a trip with Brittany’s family. “During my family trips we like to carve out time every day to do something together and we decided to visit the river walk outside of Houston. We walked the river and enjoyed a peaceful quiet morning and Dallas proposed. We spent the rest of the trip in celebration with my family.”
150 guests joined the couple on their August wedding day at Cold Saturday Farm. “We asked a dear friend of ours to officiate. She worked with us together and individually to craft a beautiful ceremony that we will remember forever. Our hound dog Sonny was able to be part of our ceremony and photos. He walked down the aisle with us in a dog tuxedo and sat politely for all the family formal photos. Having him with us was so fun and special.”
Brittany, who worked in the fashion industry, wanted to bring elements of her career to their wedding day. “I wanted a look that was timeless, neutral, and modern. This aesthetic impacted every design choice I made. Coming from the fashion world, I thought I wanted to change into a reception dress, but I couldn’t find anything I loved more than my wedding gown, so I decided to change my hair and makeup instead from the classic clean bridal look for the ceremony and formal photos to my hair down and wild, with darker eyes and liner. I felt badass.”
Brittany is an event coordinator and Dallas is an operations manager. They currently reside in Finksburg, Maryland.
