On their three year anniversary in 2016, Mike and Ashley celebrated with dinner in Georgetown. “After dinner, we walked by the water and watched the planes come in. While sitting on a bench, Mike nervously reached into his pocket, got down on one knee, and pulled out a ring for me. We have one fuzzy picture of the night, taken awkwardly by a person walking by who was playing Pokemon Go, the latest craze that summer.”
165 guests were in attendance for their indoor ceremony in the Big Cork Vineyards production room, including six bridesmaids, one bridesman, and eight groomsmen.
light blues, bright pinks, and pops of greenery to represent the vineyards and wooden accents adorned their wedding decor. a classic Maryland meal of crab cakes and chicken was served.
“I had the guest tables named for famous love songs in a nod to my music teacher life, and we had a mini putt-putt station and a golf-themed guest book that represented Mike’s profession. We also rode away at the end of the night in a golf cart.”
Michael is a golf professional and Ashley is an elementary music teacher. The couple currently resides in Rockville, Maryland.
