A mutual friend introduced Tyler and Katlyn over Facebook. “We chatted all night. I invited him to the Federal Hill Halloween bar crawl the next night. Tyler was undergoing medical issues where they found a brain lesion and wasn’t able to drive, so he begged his friend to drive him all the way from Westminster to Baltimore city to meet someone he didn’t even know more than 24 hours earlier. From that moment on when we met the rest was history we were inseparable ever since.”
Tyler surprised Katlyn by having a limo arrive in her parent’s driveway. “He said it was for a birthday surprise. He asked 20 of our friends to take a limo down to Baltimore with us and have dinner in Little Italy and then he proposed on the top of the Four Seasons Hotel and we hung out in Fells Point all night with all of our friends. It was such a great time and an amazing birthday!”
156 guests, including six bridesmaids and six groomsmen, were in attendance for their outdoor wedding ceremony at The Lodges of Gettysburg.
“We wanted a short and sweet outdoor wedding. Our ceremony was made up of bible verses, a sand ceremony bringing the two families together, and a little background about the two of us. We also wrote our own wedding vows.”
The couple chose a color palette of navy blue and coral for their decor. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests signed a bar ledge. The reception included a photo booth, gelato and a sparkler send off.
Tyler works for the Carroll County Sheriff’s office and Katlyn is a registered nurse at Carroll Hospital. They currently reside in Taneytown.
