Jeffery and Britney met six years ago on Valentine’s Day. “He came to my work and my windshield was iced over and literally ‘broke the ice.’ It’s been us against Maryland snowstorms ever since.”
The couple decided to get married during quarantine. “It was going to happen prior, but things kept getting in the way and he decided to get down on one knee in our kitchen during our second month of quarantine. It was perfect.”
115 guests, including a six-person wedding party, helped the couple celebrate their June 2021 nuptials. Britney carried her mother’s dress, made into a small clutch. “We wrote our own vows and never even said I do. We just professed our love and it was perfection.”
The atmosphere at the wedding was low-key and relaxed. “Everything was very relaxed and it fits who we are. We are Fredericktonians through and through. We love it here and wanted to stay true to our roots.
Britney is a special educator in Frederick and Jeffery is a master electrician. They currently reside in Thurmont.
