Benjamin and Peyton met through a mutual friend in 2017 at Hagerstown Community College, where they were both education majors. “Benjamin had changed his history class so he could get to know me better. We talked all of the time and began hanging out every day.”
The two got engaged in June of 2019. “We were on a family vacation in Disney World. The resort had carriage rides and Benjamin planned a ride that evening. Benjamin filled an adventure book with pictures. On the last page he wrote, ‘will you marry me?’ and got down on one knee.
75 guests, including an eight-person wedding party, helped the couple celebrate their June nuptials at Dahlgren Chapel, followed by a reception at FountainHead Country Club. “Our wedding ceremony was small and intimate. We have bigger families and that was the majority of our guest list. It was amazing and very us. We are very quiet people and that’s how our ceremony was.”
Benjamin and Peyton are both teachers in Washington County. They currently reside in Hagerstown.
