Karri and Cara got engaged in 2018, after meeting online two years earlier. “Karri had my parents flown in for a weekend so she could ask for their blessings. I had no idea, I was completely surprised. We dropped my parents off at the airport early in the morning and then went for a hike. She had champagne and the best fruit and cheese spread. As we cleaned up and started to head out she called my name and I turned around and she was down on one knee asking me to marry her. I cried like a baby. It is truly a day I will never forget. It was perfect.”
100 guests, including a seven-person wedding party, were in attendance for their October nuptials at Caboose Farm. “We got married in a beautiful wooded area with a creek. We were very fortunate to have one of my sisters be the one to marry us. She wrote the whole ceremony herself and it was so special to us. The weather was absolutely perfect, too. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day.”
Cara and Karri took full advantage of their fall wedding and used the colors of the season for their decor. “Karri got a suit custom made in a beautiful burnt orange color. My bridesmaids each different color dresses in burgundy, mustard yellow, taupe, and cinnamon. Karri’s bridesmaids wore olive green pants and white button-ups. The theme was very boho and semi-formal. All the colors came together so beautifully, especially with the fall foliage. We had a lot of greenery for table decor and rose gold accents.”
The couple had a sparkler exit to finish off their special day. “The whole day was so fun! Everything went smoothly and our friends and bridal party took such good care. We got to enjoy every second of the day stress-free. I loved that majority of our guests got to stay on the farm with us for the weekend and everyone got to hang out and get to know one another before our wedding. It was so special and made our day even better.”
Karri is a warehouse supervisor and Cara is a flight attendant. They reside in Frederick.
