Jake had his proposal plans to Allie, who he met through mutual friends in 2016, all figured out- he would propose on a family trip to Siesta Key, Florida. “But Jake got impatient and ended up proposing in our kitchen a few days before we left. Even though my nails weren’t done and no one was there to take pictures, it was still perfect. It was sweet because he was so excited.”
125 guests including a six-person wedding party, helped the couple celebrate their nuptials at Holly Hills Country Club. “Our ceremony was very relaxed but traditional. We kept the room pretty dark and had gorgeous candles around the fireplace to create a romantic look. Our officiant was a family friend who knew how to keep everyone laughing.”
With their wedding taking place in December, Allie and Jake chose to lean into the holiday theme. “We were going for a formal Christmas-filled wedding. We told guests to wear Christmas ties because there would be some Christmas music and Christmas trees.”
Allie is an administrative assistant at Casey Construction & Jake is a utility technician at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. They currently reside in New Windsor, Maryland.
