Michelle and Howard’s wedding was years in the making. 13 to be exact. “Howard and I met in 2004. I was moving home from West Virginia and my dad came to help me and brought with him a friend from their Bible Study to help, and it was Howard. We got to know each other when I moved home thru the weekly Bible Study in my parents’ home. We spent time together for close to two years before losing contact. We reconnected in 2011 thru a text message and the rest was history.”
Michelle and Howard had 125 guests in attendance for their indoor ceremony, including a bridal party consisting of a maid of honor and four bridesmaids, a best man, and four groomsmen. “Our wedding ceremony was very intimate and personal. Our friend Chuck was our officiant and personalized the ceremony for us and the future we would build together. He told our engagement story in beautiful detail, which many of our guests had never heard. We all laughed and cried It couldn’t have been any better.”
The couple decided to with a romantic theme for their country club wedding, opting for a palette of peach, silver and ivory. Michelle opted for silk florals and twinkle lights for the decor.
When asked what her favorite part of wedding planning was Michelle shared that, “it was fun to meet with all our vendors and put together the big picture for our Wedding Day.”
Howard and Michelle currently reside in Mount Airy.
