Taylor and Jannell met in The Veteran’s Lounge at University of Maryland. “The first thing we ever talked about was our love for travel. After a short time of bumping into each other, Taylor got me a Valentine’s Day card saying, ‘I have enjoyed getting to know you over the past few days. You are a smart, interesting, and overall wonderful person. Yours Truly, Taylor’… needless to say he stole my heart.”
Taylor planned out a first date, but by the time Jannell arrived to his house, it was snowing heavily. “Instead of going on our first date, we spent the rest of the night shoveling the driveway.”
After a year of dating the two got engaged.
75 guests were in attendance for their Holly Hills wedding, including Jennell’s best friend who served as the Maid of Honor and Taylor’s brother who was the best man. Rain plans took the planned outdoor ceremony indoors. Taylor surprised everyone by singing his wedding vows in a song he performed on his guitar.
The decor of the wedding consisted of pinks, blues and turquoise.
Jennell is a Community Outreach Coordinator and Taylor is a Political Analyst Contractor. They currently reside in Cambridge, UK. Both are veterans of the uniformed service.

Honeymoon: Paris, France
The proposal: “I had been very sick for two weeks. Taylor and I were sitting on the couch having coffee together and I looked at him and said, ‘I couldn’t image doing this without you… I really want to do this life thing with you.’ At that moment Taylor got up, grabbed the ring from the bedroom, then got on one knee beside me, and said with a ring in his hand, ‘I really want to do this life thing with you too, will you marry me?.’
About wedding planning: “The whole experience of wedding planning blurs together a bit for me. We planned the whole thing by ourselves in about a month because we had the opportunity to move overseas, but we had to move fast! I really enjoyed cake tasting and trying on dresses with my family and friends.”
