Katie and Nathan met in 2018 on a dating app. “We knew on our first date that we were meant to be together. Our first date was to Union Brewing and going to breweries is something we have always enjoyed doing together.”
The couple got engaged in October of 2019 and started to plan their wedding plan right before the pandemic hit. “We attended a wedding expo at Linganore Winery and booked the date right then and there. We knew we wanted to get married on 4.3.21 so we booked the date that day. Because of the pandemic, we had our wedding twice- once on 4.3.21 in a small ceremony with just immediate family, and our reception a year later at Linganore with our whole guest list.”
90 guests attended their second wedding celebration at Linganore Winecellars. The decor included all white flowers with greenery and eucalyptus leaves. “People raved about the food and drinks. We did food stations, and the taco bar specifically was a hit. The speeches each of our siblings gave were also very memorable, and we enjoyed them.”
“We loved our wedding favors. We always have sunglasses with us, so one of the favors we gave was sunglasses with our names on it. Also, we gave wooden coasters with our names and date engraved on them. On the back of the coaster, we labeled people’s names and table numbers, so it doubled as a coaster to take home and table seating.”
Katie is an Elementary School music teacher and is in graduate school to become a school counselor. Nathan is a UPS driver. They currently reside in Pasadena, Maryland.
