| Mr. and Mrs. Joe Strickland of Cameron, S.C., proudly announce the engagement of their daughter Maria Kathryn Strickland to James Graham Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Graham Murphy of Frederick.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Leona Hutto Mack of Orangeburg, S.C. and the late Mr. Willie Allen Mack, Jr.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee Strickland of Denmark, S.C. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Carl David Walbeck and the late Mrs. Edith Rose Walbeck of Northeast, M.D. and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Millard Murphy of Frederick, M.D. Miss Strickland is a 2007 graduate of Edisto High School; a 2016 graduate of South Carolina State University with a B.A. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She is currently a Speech Therapist at Lawrence Speech Services, LLC. Mr. Murphy is a 2007 graduate of Middletown High School; a 2011 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Agriculture Mechanization and Business and a 2013 graduate of Clemson University with a Master of Science in Agricultural Education. He is currently a mechanical maintenance technician at International Paper of Eastover, S.C. The wedding is planned for June 24, 2017, at Interlaken Plantation in Cameron, S.C. |
