Ben + Chelsey are planning a October wedding at McClinktock Distillery in Downtown Frederick.
How They Met:
Ben and Chelsey met one summer over 16 years ago at Ben’s parent’s beach house near Bethany Beach, DE. The two instantly clicked but Chelsey was too young and Ben just got out of his first serious relationship, so they decided to part ways with a hug. Fast forward over a year later, and the two ran into each other again, this time deciding to exchange phone numbers. After an unofficial first date of pizza and putt putt, they decided to start dating and have been together ever since. They live in Frederick with the love of their life, Brody, a wire-haired wiener dog who stole their heart 11 years ago.
Something Sweet:
A couple of years ago, Brody (their adorable Dachshund with a personality that will blow your mind) was digging in the dirt behind their house and found an emerald ring. Ironic enough, Chelsey’s nails were painted green that day (they never are) and green is her favorite color…little did she know what the future would hold for the beautiful ring. When Chelsey and Ben started talking about getting married and wedding rings, a thought popped into Chelsey’s head…why not use the ring their beloved dog found! So the couple went to Colonial Jewelers with their idea and weeks later, when Ben proposed underneath the weeping willow tree at Baker Park, he was holding out the gorgeous ring they custom designed together.
