Ashley and Travis first met while attending Ballenger Creek middle school as children. They went to different high schools and lost touch for several years. Ashley and Travis both got involved volunteering in separate local fire departments and met again later in life through mutual friends and the fire department in 2010.
The couple is planning for a November wedding in Frederick.
