Joe and Liz met through a mutual friend in the fall of 2015. Sparks flew during a Halloween outing, and after a few dates consisting of good wine, tasty dinners, and hiking, the relationship took off.
The two were able to quickly bond over their mutual love of animals, their faith, the outdoors, and Wine Kitchen burgers! Some of their favorite times together have been hanging out with friends, playing darts, drinking good beer, road trips, country concerts, bowling, kayaking, a trip to Deep Creek with Joe’s family, and lounging around with the cats and dog.
After dating for a little over a year, Joe proposed to Liz in December of 2016, during a romantic date-night out at one of their favorite restaurants (8407 Kitchen Bar – Silver Spring, MD), followed by seeing the beautiful Christmas lights at the Mormon Temple. After Joe gave Liz an ornament of an engagement ring in a box, he knelt down in true gentleman fashion with the real thingĀ and asked her to marry him in front of the illuminated temple and a cheering group of people. After asking if he was serious a few dozen times, she happily said “yes.”
