Andrew and Sarah met at a summer job during Sarah’s last year of college. “Not long after we met he was trying very hard to get me to go on a date with him. At the time I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but he was persistent, so I gave him a chance. It was the best decision I ever made. We celebrated our three year dating anniversary by walking down the aisle.”
Andrew proposed at Olive Garden, the sight of their first date, surrounded by their friends. “We had dinner, and then as I came back from the bathroom to sit back down, Andrew pulled me into the center of the room, and as soon as he got on one knee everyone went quiet. I was speechless, but I shook my head yes and everyone around us applauded. It will forever be one of my favorite memories.”
100 guests, including five bridesmaids and five groomsmen, helped the couple celebrate their August wedding at Holly Hills Country Club. “We had a very quick wedding ceremony due to the heat. Andrew and I had some happy tears and laughs throughout the ceremony.”
Sarah and Andrew chose blush, navy, and gray for their wedding decor colors. “We were going for a modern rustic theme. I made all the floral arrangements by hand and really tried to do as much DIY with our wedding as possible.”
Andrew works for Montgomery County Parks and Planning Commission and Sarah works for Frederick Health Hospital as a Home Health Registered Nurse. They live in Emmitsburg.
