Abby and Zack met at Mount Saint Mary’s University. “A friendship quickly developed and we began dating our senior year, right before Zack was to graduate. From the beginning, we could always make each other laugh and fortunately, we both thought a good sense of humor and a strong faith life are the perfect qualities for a future spouse.”
Zach asked Abby to marry him on their one year anniversary. “Zack drove to the chapel on campus and proposed. It was just the two of us on that November evening and it was absolutely perfect.”
120 guests, including six bridesmaids and six groomsmen, celebrated with the couple in November. “We had a traditional Catholic mass at the Immaculate Conception Chapel on campus. We had friends and family play special roles during the mass and a wonderful seminarian who provided the most beautiful music.”
The couple chose a simple and effortless look for their wedding decor. “We decided on lots of greenery and soft blues and earth tones for the colors. The beautiful centerpieces were made by my grandmother and the cupcakes were from my hometown in Pennsylvania.”
Abby is a victim advocate for a nonprofit in Frederick County and Zack Bristor is a software developer for the federal government. They currently reside in Gaithersburg.
