Friends and family extend their best wishes to Richard & Lula Perry of Gaithersburg as they celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple operated Perry’s Restaurant in Old Town Gaithersburg for 22 years and catered many local events. Richard is a retired US Postal Clerk and he also sold insurance for Peoples Life Insurance Company. Lula worked as a Secretary for the Computer Sciences Corporation for 20 plus years. They are blessed with 7 sons, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The couple was married in Rockville MD by Reverend Frank Tyler on July 17, 1947. They were attended by Richard’s sister Ruth (Perry) Bowman, who served as the Maiden of Honor, and by her husband Paul Bowman, who served as the Best Man. The couple honeymooned in Ocean City, MD.
